High Tec retread

In early '03, I remember a post about retread tires. Any body else run these tires or have any horror stories?

I purchased a set of 33"s for the '92 earlier this year. I'm very pleased with them so far,and the price was hard to pass up. The tire shop commented on how easily they balanced,and it has never went down the road better.

if i had a jeep or bushtruck, i'd run them. . retreads don't scare me really [many of the road snakes are from non recap tires... ] if they had a nice 35x12x17 tire for a good price, i'd consider them for my truck too...

I just had the OTR Muds with Spacer installed this summer. Got the Green Diamonds in them too. I knew they would be loud, but holy wah! They start humming at 30mph, and just get louder as speed increases. Fairly soft rubber compound too. But for $450 for tires, shipping, mounting and balancing, and disposal of old tires, I really can't complain!
