I'm sitting at 105,000 on my 04. 5 600 - not bad for 8 months :D

Seems to be running decently still, but after my transfer pump went out, my mileage is off.

When I say off, I mean roughly 70-150miles per tank. Coming back from a trip empty I would see mid 600's, now I'm seeing low 500's high 400's running it dry.

Looking to add something (anything) to help out with mileage.

Anyway, who else is racking up the miles?

at one time I would consider my truck high mileage 3mo old 15k but you win I use mine for my appliance repair company its good to be the boss I get to buy the new trucks

I only have 10k on my 04 but with my mods I can get 700 miles to a tank. last time I checked I was getting 18. 8 hand calc. with the fuel tank vent kit so my fillups are consistant and FULL. This is all with the TST on 5/5.

TX Gooseneck,

Lot of miles on your 04. 5 CTD truck 105,000 in 8 months. Thats not a typo error is it?

You've averaged 3200 miles a week in your truck?

IM sure his milage is accurate... . I did 8000 miles in 9 days a couple of weeks ago. MY 04 has 78,000 since mid February. I haul RVs (TT and 5th wheels) from Goshen, In - Coast to Coast!... . bye... Im on my way to Ocala, Florida

ceaman , guess you're right about the mileage. Seemed kind of high to me but its possible . Overall how has your truck held up?

What repairs have been done etc. Just asking ,going from a 99 ctd auto to a 05 3500 6 spd.

thanks

It's accurate. Wanna see the 15k in fuel I've spent? ;)

We manufacturer trailers and the majority of our business is out west. We're running out to Cali and the Pacific northwest 3-4 times a month. In a years time, I should have 135-145k.

I typically change oil between 5k and 7k. I've gone over on a few instances, with the most being 11k.

Truck is holding up VERY well. Clutch seems strong, transmission feels fine, rearend feels fine, engine feels strong.

As far as problems with the truck, my ignition switch went out at around 16k, my lumbar support shattered at 45k - and I had to FIGHT to get it repaired, transfer pump died on my while coming through MT and my mileage has taken a dive since it was repaired.

Interior still looks new and sounds tight.

I've got a few paint chips that I think are on the large side, but it is a work truck.

And there is a noise in the front end, similar to what I had on my F-350 with the springs rattling. It annoys me to no end and the dealer doesn't have a clue.

All in all, I'm happy with it.
