If everyone is tired of this topic....just let me know and I will understand. I have only had my truck a year and just reached 50K miles with new Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT's - LT275/70/R18, with Front and Rear (what they could do in the rear) Alignment.

With the old original Firestones, it had a noticeable vibration, but I could live with it. TODAY was a different story, it was shaking so bad the center console was acting like a washing machine out of balance. WTH!!!

I read in the other posts about what was thought to be a driveline issue. Makes sense to a point. Why would it get worse with NEW tires??? Was thinking maybe I threw a weight, heck I guess it is worth a try to take it back to the tire shop and have them check it.

I know some of you have had this issue. Did anyone get it fixed or?

Read my posts on the other thread about how the RAM cast wheels need to be balanced. It might help. I'm still dealing with a vibration above 68 Mph. For now I can live with it. But I might go with aftermarket wheels when this set of Cooper Discover's finally give up the fight.

If it got worse with new tires or alignment then its about 99% change the problem is tires or alignment. Coopers typically are good round tires but that does not mean they dont get some bad ones, I would start with road force balance and go from there. One of my Nitto tires was out of round brand new and needed to be replaces, it happens.

Also did you get a print out of the alignment specs? If not then assume the alignment is wrong, I deal with this stuff every day and see more bad alignment jobs then good ones. Here is a good write up on alignment https://www.thurenfabrication.com/tech/alignment-and-handling.html .

Have you tried dynamic balance beads? They balance a lot better than any weight method I've used.

The new wheels also don't take weights on the outer rim, so the stick on my not get it exactly where needed.

Like Centramtics?

No, while those will do the same thing many tire companies wont work on rigs with spacers and some consider them spacers. I do have them on my trailer and they work very well.

Counteract Balance Beads are what I use.

Your right John....weights. I am taking the truck to the tire shop tomorrow to check the balance. Thx

Here is the alignment spec. Strange that they said the left rear can NOT be adjusted?????

Too much toe in , I would stay under 0.05 deg total and you have .21 deg , also too much caster change left to right. Does your truck have a lean to it? I suspect it may due to cross caster, I would keep it at .5 deg more on the passenger side then the drivers.

Looking from the front there seems to be a noticeable amount of toe in and It does seem to lean more towards the passenger side. I appreciate the evaluation. I called the tire shop and their alignment machine is down.

I had an issue with mine that ran fine until 20k miles. After the 5th trip to the dealer they finally figured out the transmission mount was loose. It solved the bad vibration but now I have a slight issue when my foot is barely on the accelerator maintaining hwy speed. Not sure if its a shock or bearing?
