If I accelerate to about 30 mph. And then slow down I get a hissing sound or a sigh from around the turbo. I never hear this sound unless I am going slow. Is this normal?

If I take the silencer ring out how loud will it be. I will be going to the BHAF when it come in and want to know if it will run me out of the cab. I already have a strait exhaust but do alot of long distance haul and don't want it too loud in the cab.

Thanks

The whisle sound will be alot louder. but it is easy to put back in if it is too loud. Mine is out and a straight pipe would be too loud for me.

Thanks for all of the info. I kept looking for a loose connection but couldn't find one. So it's great to hear that it is normal.

I took mine out for a week or two, then put it back in. The turbo was "obnoxiously loud" with a K&N filter and my airbox fender boot removed. I especially noticed it when I upgraded my injectors to DD Stage II's and added the boost module. Under 17psi stock, it wasn't too bad. At 25-30 PSI it sounds like a small child screaming for his mommy. :D
