How much oil does your truck use between changes?

I ran the old girl at the annual Idaho dyno day in Meridian ID and turned 369. 8 RWHP. Not too shabby for a "slightly" modified 1'st Gen:) :)

It was a Great event with about 60 trucks showing up at various times throughout the day. Great job by Muddy and all the others that hosted this event.

VERY nice numbers, BOB! Sounds like the old girl is running very well.

Way to go Bob!Oo.

One of these days maybe I'll get all the adjustments done right and will end up in the 350HP area. I really like those torque numbers you have.

I've done a couple of things since Piers last fall, backed off on the starwheel and smoke screw after the modified cone was put in so will need to turn those back up. Even after turning down, the boost went up a couple of pounds with the modified cone and I'm at 35 PSI at the present.

Good on ya Bob. That's great. And I really liked the "slightly modified" part.

But it doesn't matter. Ya got there and you get to keep it. How are your EGTs when towing?

My truck IS mostly stock;) only mods are to the engine, exhaust, clutch and transmission. The fenders, hood, bed, etc are all stock. :D :D

Hope you get where you want to go. I had the distinction of generating the most smoke at this event:D :D . I was pushing so much through the outlet pipe that smoke came back out and filled the dyno room. Everyone thought I had an exhaust leak - not with a Rip Rook welded exhaust.

Boost never went above 28 psi so I'm going to check all connections and if all is OK I will set the wastegate up to 32 psi - full open and try her again. Piers recomends a max boost of 35 with the HX35 so I will stay below that number.

I have dyno'd the truck in Valet which is less than 1/2 the fuel the pump will put out and the results were 495hp and 1180ftlbs. One of these days I will strap her down good and run her in full power mode.

From other dyno runs with simular setup I have seen 700hp and 1450+ftlbs in high power mode. :D

Not bad for a 1st gen :) Don't you think Bob C. ?

Great numbers Bob B. I'd like to see pics of all those guages! So whats the future for the VE, 400 topping out ? Bill

Great numbers Mark! Talk about a sleeper. :D

I think there are a lot of people that are surprised when they run up against a "slightly" modified truck like Bob B's or Marks. I saw a program on TV this past weekend , was 2 guys garage. The modified a newer Ford PS (no, not POS guys) that had a 5" exhaust. Put a box on it along with a few other things and I was surprised to see the power was close to what my truck has presently. And I consider mine to be "slightly" turned up when compared to Bobs truck.

Hey Pastor, sounds like you need to let Bob have a 25 HP bonus for this one!
