Looking for feedback on RV Resort Memberships

wiring connection advice

HELP!?!?! I thought my '96 came with a beefy hitch, but turns out it is only a class 3. It does not look too healthy with my 9k lb trailer hooked to it. Please advise where to get a class 5 hitch for a reasonable price.

Thanks in advance!

Again Ruenel!

http://www.reunel.com/

Rear bumper with receiver (15K #) was less

that $600 a year ago. It is 1/4" plat

and very very strong.

It will definitely protect your rear end.

I backed into a tree  and no damage.

I had a 35' flat bed graze it and it took

off some metal which I filed and repainted.

And put a ~1" crack in the end cap weld.

He lost a lot of paint. The bumper did

not bend nor did it get into the body work

like the piece of sh#$ stock one that it

replaced.

IMO the Reunel 15k rating is a bit mis-leading. The bumper itself was tested/rated for 15k - that DOES NOT mean the mounts on your trucks frame are rated/capable of 15k. Same problem with the Class IV/V receivers - sort of. At least the receivers from Drawtite/Reese/etc distrubite the load over a larger area of the frame compared to the Reunel bumper. I really like the looks of the Reunel bumper but I'm not willing to give up my independently frame mounted receiver hitch.

Correct! Bumper rated over Frame

You are correct the Ruenel bumper is

rated over that of the frame for the RAM.

If you put it on a larger truck, say or

2 Ton or 5 Ton then you could use it at

rating with a Pinta but not with the

receiver.

My thought was, I know I will

occasionally load it heavy and with out

getting on a truck scale I won't know that

it is over loaded. So, I wanted a little

extra margin built in.

Also, it was less than the OEM bumper that

got hit and the insurance was going to replace

anyway. I realize that this is probably not

the case here.

Do a search on the Putnam Class V XDR then call 1-800-932-8373.

I think you will like the price plus free shipping to Vermont. Small company, not sure if they have weekend hours. 2" reciever by the way.
