I stopped in at my dealer last week an asked when I could order an 04. The manager said no HO's could be ordered because of emissions. Thought I could sneak out an 04 before they do EGR's or whatever voodoo they are going to do on the first of the year. Leave it to the politicians to screw us :mad: :mad: . But all is well that ends well on Monday I trade my 98 gasser in on a 03 3500 4x4 QC sport. :D :D :D . Got a good price and got some things I never would have ordered like an alarm and 6 disk CD:) . I'm keeping my 92 CTD so now were a two Cummins family:D :D :D . If anyone is thinking of ordering an HO in New York best check with your dealer!!!

oh i hope ontario, canada doesn't get screwed like that. i'll be so ****** then... i could have ordered a 03 but i wanted to wait for a 04 HO no egr. now if i can't get one of them... oh i will be ****** and frustrated and disapointed... :(:(:(:(:(

just got back from new york city and i did not see one diesel ram the entire week. my opinion of the city is overall a good one other than to see that yankees dont like cummins diesels:confused:

CC,

Yankees don't come from NYC, they come from New England. You should have come a bit further north and you would have seen plenty of CTD's. :) .

dean,

its good to hear that cummins is popular up their. i guess that in the city they must be furd people:( maybe they still think that the cummins diesel is loud as hell. most people love this new quite motor.

Is this the New York City area ( with the emissions stickers ) or the entire state? is it calander 04 or model year 04? I was planning on a SRW 3500 HO prior to soot recirculation also. I might still try to sneak it in. :mad: :{

Can't speak for NYC, but there's plenty of Cummins Rams in western NY. I have a SO now, but I had a 2001. 5 HO and had no problems ordering it.

If you head East of the Big city you will find CTD out here on Long Island. This is the first I have heard of no 04 HO in NY, glad I got my 03.

Anyone Notice my Name!!!!

I drive around NYC all the time with my CTD!! Catcracker you should have let me know,I would have come by!!

Don't know about New York City as I live two hours east of there!!!There are plenty of CTD out here. As of tommorrow there will be three on my block alone. And one poor guy with a Furd:rolleyes: As far as the HO saga goes according to my dealer its a New York State thing.

No HO in the beginning of 04

I heard this also, one cannot order a HO during the first of the new year. It goes to prove that the powers that be really do not want diesels taking over the road. One wonders if we really are that free? God Bless the USA Love my country but sometimes you just have to hate who is running it!

I've said it before and I'll say it again... It's time the people of the state of New York throw New York Sh*tty out of their state. It causes nothing but high taxes, stupid laws, and bad gun control for all the great people of the state. I'd suggest combining the city with Pueto Rico or someplace like that.

I fly to NYC every month from Dallas. Just bought my CTD HO in Dayton NJ. I have an apt downtown on Hudson and its parked outside right now and dwarfing anything that dares get close. I removed the silencer ring the other day and now entertain myself by running up and down the narrow streets with the turbo noise bouncing off the buildings. You should see the looks!!! "that thing should be illegal... " Anyway, got a great deal at the NJ dealership but that was about it -their customer service was lousy. 1000 miles on the beast and tomorrow I pack up the apt and lug a trailer to Dallas. Oo. Oo.
