Archived HO2 sensor/engine check light

Just replaced HO2 Bank 1 sensor 1, (P0031 code). Does the check engine light go out after a few start-ups or do I manually need to reset this? 2008 3500

Some codes go out after so many starts, others have to be cleared. If it doesn't clear in 5 to 50 starts you will probably have to clear it.
