hoe to hot rod a 4bt-3.9 cummins

Does anyone know where to get parts or who can rebuild a 4BT-3. 9 cummins so it will output more then 105 hp

It will use the same hot rod parts the 1st gen 6bta 5. 9's use. That's if it has a VE rotary injection pump. Set of injectors, and upgrade turbo such as a hy or hx35 with smaller exhaust housing, such as a 12cm. Before spending any money on injectors, you'll want to find out if you have the early style or new style injectors 9mm vs. 7mm. I would pull one and see. This will also tell you if you have an old head or new style head with small injector bores which are less prone to cracking as the older heads. Was the engine intercooled or non-intercooled originally? If you have the 9mm bores/injectors, the upgrade Bosch 190's will not be an upgrade. About your only option would be the Lucas POD's. www.piersdiesel.com and ebay are the best place to get them.
