heres where i put mine on the "updated" cummins unit, just make sure you don't drill into the wax element that's the next thing inside of the piece i drilled though

no jiggler on the new style t-stat that i got in a cummins box from the dodge store, it's not for bleeding air like they usually are needed for as theres a small pipe that takes care of that, i did it to get the temp to stabilize, my truck didn't have a thermostat in it when i got it and when i installed one it got the gauge to flapping which most consider normal, i don't like that so i went after what i thought was the cause, the element is too isolated when it's closed where they put the t-stat and it overreacts, this sets up a cycle that had mine bouncing from about 220 to 160 every couple minutes, now it runs about in the middle towing or empty

Why the hole? The older versions had the "jiggle pins" that they did away with.

Interesting. The New revised Cummins T-Stat is supposed not to "Cycle". This is the one I run. Mine does not cycle. Although, it seems to warm up slower and run a bit cooler. Most noticeable in the winter.

EDIT:

WDixon27,

The revised T-Stat still cycled for you?
