just wondering how many guys are running the holley blue or black fuel pumps on their rigs, and their thoughts on it. looking to replace lift pump and right now dont have the means for fass or airdog system. also if i go w/ the holley, will it flow enough fuel for pushing upwards of 500hp?

Lotero over on DTR is running a Holley blue with a big line kit, and hes pushing close to 550hp. He pulled his pressure regulator spring out and stretched it to get a bit more pressure out of it though and you'll probably have to do the same at the power level your looking to hit. Either that or get a heavier spring for it. I don't know if you can shim them or not.

I dyno 450/754 with a blue pump piggy backed on the stock fuel system, fuel pressure can drop to 8-9 at WOT, other than that it pegs my 15 psi gauge most of the time.

I run mine solo and it never goes below 14 psi at WOT, just make sure you put a small filter before the pump it will make it last a lot longer.

Filter?

I am also running a holly blue inline with stock LP i idle at 22psi and @ WOT i get to around 8psi. It can usually stay around 16 pulling trailers up the mountains (the rockys that is). I have had to replace one though after about 10,000 miles. Not really sure why but i at $100 a pop if anouther one goes out i am not going to try it again. Possible i need to learn what Diesel Dummie is using as a pre filter.

Hey Diesel Dummie, do you have a picture of or an example of what filter you put before your in line pump. I am just wondering what can handle the large quantity and not put a strain on the pump.
