I plan on putting a Holly Blue Pump on the truck this weekend to help the poor lift pump. My question is can I bypass this pump incase it fails? I plan on finding some Y connectors and have the inlet on one, pump on another and a bypass hose on the remaining line. Will it cause the pump to recurilate the fuel?

I certainly do not recomend this, but it seems to be where I am headed. I have a new stock pump and a new carter, so I am also looking for a one way by-pass valve, but wouldn't a manually operated ball valve would work just as well albeit not automatic like the check valve?

yep thatd be it guys, I want to bypass the pump just incase it fails but im not sure if it will push the fuel hard enough to push the fuel back behind it once thru the pump
