I am thinking it's real, if you look at the album there's several pictures at different angles and they are all consistant... That appears to be a D8 though which is 80,000+ lbs!

Definitely photo shop I'll bet that little guy grosses out at over 80,000 pounds. Plus with no air to the brakes. I'd pay good money to see that. I see a lot of those where I work and they are usually transported on lowboy centipede trailers.

The construction company I work for hauls heavy equipment every day to our jobsites. From D-9's to 500 Ton crawler cranes... and nothing but a heavy GVWR semi tractor can safely do the job. I have seen folks attempt to tow such loads using tandem dump trucks and the results are dangerous at best. I'd bet that kind of weight would literally crush the rear of a pickup into the ground.

The funny thing was most of the PSD guys at school that I showed that to said "my dad's 7. 3 could tow that too, it's not that heavy"

Wonder what a 555G deere dozer weighs? I towed my neighbors back to his house when his dump truck took a dump on him while he was building my pond. I think I will print that picture out and have some fun with the stroke guys here at work.

If its a crawler loader (model sounds like it) it probably weighs around 20,000. The 550 dozer weighs 17,000 lbs.
