Competition Video - 3/10/02 KCIR

It was a busy weekend, got the engine o-ringed and back in it's place on the 00 truck with twins, cam, ported head & converted to a P pump. Then I found time to slip the new race pump on my old 94 Oo. I think I'm a little above the 175hp now:--) This thing is insane. Now I just gotta wait until it stops raining so I can test it out properly. Don I'll be building your pump next, it'l take a bit though, I have to design a new gov kit so you can get your 6000rpm's:--)

Doncha hate when ya install something and then you can't test it? Yesterday when I drove 2 1/2 hours to KC was the first time I really got to "test and play" with my new turbo. Now I am back in the frozen tundra... ... . it took an hour or better for some stuff to melt off my truck in KC at 50°.

When you said cam..... is it a DD cam. . or one of your own designs? Just curious.

Piers...

Make sure you get some video of that test drive... cause we know a good burnout would help out with the testing... . right??? LMAO

Kev

Piers, if you read this before I call you, don't drill out the front boss for the return line. I am only going to run the rear line, because the front hole is going to be used for linkage. Also, do you think 70lbs. of fuel pressure at WOT will be enough to feed this slightly modified pump?

Don

Piers, I tried to call but can't get through.

Your phone is sending me to some anwsering service.

I've got some head gasket questions for ya.

Brian Cobb

Is it still raining or are you still test driving :D

Come on we're all waiting and anxious for the test results what kind of rpm's will she pull now?

Kevin

Kat: the cam was already installed on Alex's truck, it was one of Al's @ Maximum Diesel's design.

Don: I think 70lbs should be enough, just barely though:rolleyes:

We did get a dry day to do some testing..... Peter we gotta talk about clutches, your OFE was holding at 422hp, but this new pump seems to be putting out a couple more ponies, fuel mileage seems to have dropped off a bit too;)

Kevin, your wife has already warned me, I'm not allowed to take you for a test drive..... unless you're bring her and we go fishing too... ... in Alaska:--)

Gene, I'm running a stock Bosch 160hp cam plate... . same as you;)

I went for a drive in that truck and all I can say is WOW. :D Left me thinking maybe I should start looking at 12valves.

Know matter what Piers tells me I never falling for the "it's just a little 160 pump" saying. It got me into an bad situation in a race. :( Little 160 pump my a**.

On our test drive I reached for the O's#%t handle a couple times. All I got to say is look out this is one bad set-up. :--) Piers stay away, your killin me. :(

I can't wait to sell my six speed truck and get an auto from Steve T. I'm sick of losing boost every time I shift. :{
