Armed with only a chainsaw, our hero, the caped crusader, tries to bring the minions of darkness, to light……
'99 Sport Headlights and BriteBox are installed.
I finally found a weekend that was free of time and rain. Thanks goes out to Rnpeder (Mark Rogers) for doing the leg work to get these to me. (check the classifieds) So with trusty TDR issue 25 (page 51) and a chainsaw (sawzall) I commenced to cutting. I took off the front bumper to make this a little easier. Eyeballed the cut line, watch out for that grounding lug on the driver side, and made a lot of noise. Cuts went pretty well. Primered, the new shiny metal parts I exposed. Plugged the BriteBox connectors to the bulbs and locked the headlights down. Mounted the BriteBox, hooked to power and off to align the headlights. Putting the bumper back on gave me a little trouble, but all is well with the "smile" again.
I can see. These are great. I would not hesitate to do this again. I might have to if my fishing buddy likes them. Man, I love the TDR. The bestest place to get info for our trucks. Thanks to the pioneers of this install, I don't have issue 25 in front of me or I would name names .
