Yeah moments like this do shine for big daddy corps. I still feel bad that all the mah and pop stores are closing down.

I don't know about you guys... . but at the HD near me (Leominster, MA)... there are some interesting female HD associates.



I found myself asking about stuff that I already knew about - just so that they had to talk to me! There's something about a gal explaining the finer points of a hammer drill that I just adore.



Mah and Pop stores could NEVER compete with that.

It's too bad that corporate greed is doing this to America (... . and the rest of the world)... . but at least they try to seem like they care.

Try going to an "associate" in the plumbing section and tell her your looking for 2- 1" nipples:-laf . I'm glad she wasn't there when I had to ask for an 8" piece of tubing:-laf "Can I help you sir? Yes,can you pull out 8" of tubing for me!!!"

The best thing about Home Depot, at least in Pittsburgh, they give discounts to Military personal, both active, reserve, retired, and dependants.

This is cool, it would also help if we could get our VA hospitals rebuilt/reinstated, cut paperwork for benefits, and bring em home.
