Any experience with them... I'm looking at something that can run on teh road - for short distances - and I don't want a regular bike... ...

For $5,000, just drive the truck short distances. It will take many many years for you to recoop your investment in gas savings.

I know a guy that has had two of those. The first one he traded in with about 20k on it. He had very few problems with it at all.



The second one he hasn't had any problems with. Last year him and a group of Helix owners went for a ride. They were gone for 30 days. They left IN and went to your state. Then down the coast to CA. Then across the lower route back to IN. Total milage was over 7k. Not one of them had a breakdown other than a couple of flats for the group.
