I was thinking the other day that a couple years ago some one had in their sig that they hade "home"honed their injectors with a toch tip cleaner I beleive any one eld=se remember/know any thing about this?

I..... don't know about that. I use tip cleaners all the time for what they are designed for, and they are not very... how do I put it... . "Robust". I don't know the metallurgy of injector tips but I would imagine they are a bit more hard than Copper. (Torch tip) Plus this method would lend itself to "Feel" rather than actual measurable sizing.

I guess if you were very careful you could clean a disassembled injector with a tip cleaner but I don't think I would try it on sticks that I'm counting on.

But then again, I could be wrong. Lets see what others have to say.

I would think you would not only need precise size control but also finish control to insure an even spray pattern.

I'm guessing they are hardened steel and you'd need a hone or a stone or carbide, or maybe diamond compound to open them up.

I know they can enlarged using conventional edm... . but setup is critical.

that is kinda what I was thinking.

I didnt even think of the hardened steel part just the size problem and spray pattern after your were done. deffinitly not happening
