How many of you have made your own heat shields for the BHAF or another airfilter? Any pictures? Share the knowlege

Larryb has stainless heat shields for the turbo. Fit great and look great especially with my chrome kit.

I made several and sold them, EScot posted a blue print of the mount, search " update on BHAF mount". He did a great job, you can even download a fullsize version that you tape together. Brian

Total cost $5. Had it on for a year. Also protects from water splashed up from below. No problems.

I built one from furnace duct also. Made mine double wall.

I did mine much like GGates, except that I used 1/8 inch aluminum diamond plate and made it to fit right over a couple of the bolts for the original air box.

How much drop in EGT do you guys with shields see? I have the BHAF but no shield yet and would really like to build one. I just need to find something to build one out of.
