Thought I would post up a simple little project I completed over the summer.

I wanted to protect the front of my travel trailer from rock/debris. The truck has the factory rubber mudflaps which do a pretty good job of protecting the truck but do not protect the trailer. I wanted a simple set of mud flaps that could be easily mounted/dismounted.

I purchased a pair of mud flaps from Geno's and cut them down to fit and welded up a few pieces steel. The stinger shown in the picture is for a Hensley hitch if your not familiar with it.

Over a couple of camping trips it has shown to be effective.

Nice job!

Very clever mounting.

Mike. :)

I agree... and it doesn't look home made! I made some similar mud flaps for my single rear wheel tow vehicles when I towed Airstreams too; however, my mounting system wasn't as clever as yours. Like you, I didn't want gravel, rocks, and road debris scratching, pitting and/or denting the aluminum skin.
