I have found my old plate, and was wondering how do you grind it?? what kind of profile do i use?? do I grind it flat?? It is the stock plate from a 1994 160 hp 400 FP TORQUE MOTOR. my truck currantly has 370 injectors banks powerpack straight piped ,plate slid all the way forward ,starwheel all the way forward also the AFC is slid all the way. my trans should hold the power.

ATS triple loc converter. 191's to be installed next week. what kind of HP torque will my engine produce with what I have done so far. I've had my timing bumped to 16. 5 to allow for the increased fueling.

I would appreciate any input.

Start by making it look like a half moon stay steel safe you can always grind more off. If you want to make a 100 plate you start with the half moon and then you go straight up to the mounting plate on the fuel plate. That is a 10 at the bottom and a 0 at the top making it a 100.

there is a little nipple in the middle of the curve in a stock plate. Just take the grinder and grind it down. Then stick the edge of the grinder in the middle of the curve and cut until it is about . 040 or so from being flush with the upper part of the plate. It will look like a "V" curve. This is simmilar to a 10 plate, the best curve to use, you never need to adjust the govenor arm then. Good luck. If you really want to make it nice, pull the plate out and contact me about using the anneroid arm as your fuel limiter. Totally adjustable inside the cab.
