Maybe Toyota's aren't so bad!!

My freind has an 88 Goldwing and is wondering were to find out if there were any recalls on it. Anyone know of a website with such info?

Thanks

As much as I love my Electra Glide, I have owned 3 Wings. 1978 1000, 1980 1100 Interstate, and 1984 1200 Aspencade. Each tradeup was better than the previous bike. After getting whacked by a Taurus, I looked for a low mileage 1200. Could not find one anywhere for a realistic price, so I tried the 6 cylinder. What a turd! As a 3 time owner, I`ve done a lot of wing time & miles. There is no way in hell I`d ride one of those (6 cylinder ) things. I loved my 84, would gladly have bought another. But, progress is a good thing... ... . Sometimes. Don

Then something is wrong with that GL1500. Mine ('89 & '96, now Valkyrie interstate) quick, agile and cumfy.

Yes, I have compared it to the 1100 and the 1200 (with the rev limiter shot) and I had no problem winning the little races.

I`ve never owned a 6, so I have to just give impressions I got from a few rides. I have been told by owners here that the 6s are hard on tires & brakes. I just felt uncomfortable on the 6, relative to the 1200. Wish I still had the 1200, but it is in Heaven now. + keep the Hog! DK. :D

I averaged 24k miles a year in and around Colorado, mostly in the mountains. I never got less than 18k on the Donlap Elite II 491's and a set of front brake pads about every other set of tires and rear every third.

The first thing I learned about the 1500's is the moment you disrespect the bike while riding, she'll try to kill ya. Otherwise the bike just kind of drives itself, think turn and there ya go.

I had a 95 goldwing se, the bike rode great and had plenty of power

sold it because evertime I rode it my knees would hurt because I could not stretch out

my 1998 FLHTCI electraglide, which I had before the gold wing, really could not compare in handling, stability and power, but it was more comfortable to ride for me
