What do you think about this?

I've got a fairly flat scoop off of a 69 Super Bee. I'm thinking I'm gonna mount it on the passenger side of the hood to feed the BHAF with fresh air.

I wanna fab an airbox that will be pretty close to sealed to the hood and add some insulation to shield it from the turbo heat.

I'm also thinking about a water drip shield to deflect water from directly hitting the BHAF, but which will still allow outside air to flow around freely to the filter.

I've sat the scoop on the hood and it looks like it'll work and look good. (I'll paint match it afterwards)

While I don't know if it'll gain a lot in the performance area, I'm thinking that a fresh supply of outside air should help the EGT's.

If nothing else, I guess it'll look cool...

Opinions? Ideas?

Thanks!

Dirk

Definately couldn't hurt. I'm not sure who but I think there are a few members that have a ram-air type setup on their rigs... . I'm sure they'll chime in
