Horn Toots And Lights Flash

This is a first time post, but I've been an observer for several years. My problem is that on about every 4th start the horn toots and lights flash, similar to locking the doors with the key fob, as soon as the ignition is turned on. Of course it usually happens right when an old lady is walking in front of the truck... very embarrising.

If I remember right the manual says that the truck will do that to alert you that the factory alarm went off while you were off doing something. My truck does the same thing on accasion.

I find my truck doing that because of my big thumb and the "new" key with the buttons on it... ... ... ... LOL:-laf

Sorry about the missing signature... a rookie mistake! It's an 06 2500 QC LB 4x4 Auto. Thanks for the help!

You have to watch how you grab the key to turn it on, you can hit the lock button and cause exactally what you are talking about happeneing. I have done my share of that stuff, more when my truck was new and getting use to the stupid key.
