Okay guys my horns on the 12V sound like a dying goose in coffee can

are there any good aftermarket horns that will hook right up... I did a search on autozone, they had one that came up fitting the 250 it was called a Blazer Horn, any thoughts on this?

I thought you had hit a deer... ... ... :(

The horns are available @ NAPA. Could also try Autozone I suppose. Check for volatage at both wires (one per horn) and make certain of a good ground.

Wyatt,

I had a problem keeping both horns working. Took them out and shined up the ground contacts and they are good as new.

On this topic, there are screws on the back of both horns. Does this change the tone of them?

Yes you can get it to sound like that dying goose is in a Homer bucket... :-laf :-laf but that's about it.

Tugger... I figured you would have one of those Dixie horns... .

Yeah those horns sound like they have a major cold LOL... . will get to them soon.

The electric air horn sounds like a good idea will see what happens when i inspect the horns closer, might be the ground or the little screw but i for sure can't have a mean looking truck that sounds like a dying goose :-laf
