Does anyone know of any calculators that use the quarter mile ET and weight to calculate 1/4 mile times for Diesels? I have a running debate with a friend of mine that it is the torque not horsepower that makes the most difference in times. The diesels are running quicker ets then their horsepower is calculated at.

I have no faith in the calculated numbers from these things. If I put my times and truck weight in I come up with 550 hp. I don't think that is possible with my mods...

I modified some formulae used for cars. JR2, what does your truck weigh? I'd like to try it in my calculator just to see how it does...

I use www.Smokemup.com

You have to register and you need to use mph not ET. MPH is an indication of HP, ET is an indication of traction.

None of them will be perfect, but this one seems to work best against my dyno and trucks I check against.

If the truck in question is 6900 lbs I get 435hp. That is a good general weight of most of the 2500 QC's SWB that don't have a ton of add ons. 7100 lbs would be 447. 8.

Good luck

I agree with David. I am registered at smokemup.com too. I have used most of their calculators, and they are pretty accurate. I also wouldnt use ET, it has put hp way off every time on mine. The mph puts it right where it should be. I think smokemup even says that on the ET calculator, that it is innacurate.

Thanks Scottish Bro,

It's now official: the N. O. L. D. C. D. D. (National On Line Dyno Calculator Dissemination Device) has just declared that my truck makes more power then “Part-Times” :-laf

Wow, I expect nothing less coming from you "Mr. NOS" :-laf :-laf

From what I hear your to scared to even run on a dyno (might reveal some things you have been trying to hide) :-laf :p

the way I and the rest of the drag racing world looks at it

THE SCORE BOARD IS THE ONLY MEASURE OF PERFORMANCE

weight, of lack there of is no different then the latest turbo ,injector , cam or any other performance improving part.

I spent all day getting rid of another 20 pounds

who would run NOS products when the leader in diesel nitrous is NITROUS EXPRESS and if and when Fletch puts the spray on his truck , I'm sure it will probly be NX
