After adding the Banks kit (Stinger 80hp 200lbs torque) I realize I need to do some transmission work. Thinking about buying stage 3 (new TC and valve body) kit from ATS and installing it myself. Anybody ever do one? This is my only auto i`ve owned and never been in one.

Also, any idea how much more horse will get to the ground?

Yeah I gotta agree with TqT on that one.

Only you can make a decision on what brand / kind of trans upgrade to choose from just by reading about them and what they have to offer. A loaded Question like yours (No Flame but past TDR experience) can for some reason send out that bloody helpless injured fish signal to the sharks and a frenzy will soon begin LOL!

As only a tiy bit out of the HUGE advice that I can hand down from the TDR is to make a good decision the first time around as it will end up $aving money in the future. I had a full on banks kit that I yanked out in only six months being I found more power for less dollars after I allready installed the powerpack. . . . . . Kinda goes along the lines of "If I know now what I didn't know then"

Welcome aboard!

Thanks Toolman, I wish I would have never found this site, it just leads to more ???s. As you are aware I am green in the diesel area. Need to learn more before I get myself into trouble.

Just need to decide on having a reg transmission shop beef up my transmission or go ATS. Money is the issue.

knowledge is power, do it once do it right :)

do you have money to burn? research is the best tool out there.
