Horsepower tv

Any one see horsepower tv this weekend? They took a dually and added a Bully dog fueling box, high flow exhaust, propane injection, and bigger injectors. They made 230 more horses at the rear wheels. Anyone use this Bully dog stuff??

Yes I seen it, but I wasn't real impressed! The electronic fueling box by itself only added 43 HP!

I'm not to keen on the propane in the Diesel as it can not be controlled very well. IN other words Diesel fuel by itself can limit the RPM when the Injection pump gets to the "governed" speed, while the Propane will take the RPM higher than you may want! As long as there is propane feeding the engine, it will keep on running higher RPM's! Have seen a couple Blown Engines from the use of propane!

Yea I saw it. Made me even happier to have my 12 valve.



Those kind of "how to" shows crack me up. I liked how they opened the valve cover and nothing was oily. He also seemed to pull the injector as easily as his cig lighter. The shop looked a little too clean for my taste. If you took out all the advertising, you might have 10 minutes of information there.

4inch exhaust

I saw the show also and was surprised that the 4 inch Bully Dog exhaust kit with straight thru muffler only added 4 hourse power on top end. I though these engines worked much better with bigger exhaust. Glad I haven't invested a lot of money in a larger system. It will help with the EGT though.

I saw it and did like their work except they used petrolem jelly on the injectors. It can cause them to rust in and be hard to remove next itme. It is water based , oil should have been used.

Gene C did you get the shocks installed?

The show did say that the 4" exhaust showed a 12hp gain in the lower rpm. I think some members say bigger exhaust hurts spool-up. Any opinions??

The thing I liked about the fueling box was it LOOKED like no wire taps were used, does the edge ez use them???

Yeah, but the BullyDog box plugged into the back of the pump - where mine has a nice VOID sticker. The EZ plugs into the CANBUS data port connector, which has no such sticker.
