OK heres the question I dynoed my truck and got the following:

with Edge Comp 5x5 324hp and 648 torque

without 227hp and 449 torque.

Truck is 99 auto w/275 injectors,straight pipe,bhaf.

Anyone else dyno their truck and show numbers above or below or around the same. Just trying to get a feel for this, or do you think I got sold some bogus injectors or what?
 
Sounds like you have some seriously excellent numbers for an auto,, considering a stock Cummins is 230HP. (or is it 235?)



But that Automatic transmission is going to get some real revenge on you and your wallet if you are gonna use that COMP at all. Can I recomend DTT ?

P. S. with the COMP and 275 injectors, and *IF* your transmission is not modiffied you are most likely losing a TON of HP, compared to a modified auto, or a 5/6 speed transmission



EDIT: Hopefully I'll be getting some dyno #'s in January.

PE COMP, DD1's, BHAF, Custom exhaust, and a Southbend clutch
 
Numbers are right on.



Although level 5 should give ya a bit more, but thats prolly "in your transmission".



Mustang dyno? or Dynojet? 275's only add 40 to 50 hp tops.
 
Wow, 324 is exactly what I got on my Comp this past weekend with it set to 5/5. I got 227 with the Comp on 1/5. I don't have injectors on my truck though, but they are different dynos (mine was DynoJet) so that could be the difference. . I don't have any torque numbers for my runs.

Sounds like the injectors are only giving HP to a certain point, then they don't fuel much more than stock on the higher settings of the Comp. Strange. I didn't get a chance to run the truck with the box off.

The transmission is stock except for a double deep pan. And I know I am probably asking for trouble bit will probably start with a valve body from DTT in January, and hopefully a converter in Feb.

I just figured I would get more hp with the injectors than actually showed up. I will look at the dyno report and see what brand it was cant remember offhand must be getting old or something

A stock 99 cummins is 215 hp, but not at the rear wheels, so if your getting 227 hp that means your getting about 50 hp out of the 275 inj. which is good, I believe they are rated at 40 hp increase, correct me if I'm wrong. :)
 
Man,how are you getting 324 with a stock 98. 5,just a comp. I have a full 4"exhaust,BHAF,DTT guts,DD3's,and only got 361 at 2800,on a dynojet,they ran it in drive ,unlocked tc. Zap,if Iwere you id be happy,you got good #'s for that truck,especially with a stock trans. I added my comp first,with just a stock transmission,no injectors,this is where i should have stopped. The dd3's didnt add that much more power IMO,the 4" added nothing,but dorne,and EGT relief,and the transmission work added durability mostly. From my seat of pants it felt like my injectors added 50hp,at the most. These exact same injectors made my Dads truck fly,but the smoke was to much with the tiny HY35.
 
I got about the same. 332hp 704torq. with similar mods.

1998. 5 24valve, 275's edge comp5/5, bd exhaust, Amsoil air filter,

5sp, rancho 9's, bd exhuast brake. got lots of power know all I do is wear out tires!
