I have a short coolent hose leaking behind exhaust, it has foil on one side because of proximity to exhaust, any advice how to replace it, remove metal pipe, exhaust etc or can you just slide it on the pipe ?
My coolant bypass hose was replaced under warranty. The p/n for it is 05179114AB and the clamps - 2 needed - p/n is 73831B.
I would loosen the couple bolts that hold the pipe under the exhaust manifold to get a little playing room as well as the clamp on the manifold bolt. I would also drain down the radiator some - I use a clean 5 gal bucket with a lid, drain off about 3-4 gals, makes it not so messy and no coolant loss.
