Hose next to starter

Hi all,

What does that hose do on the drivers side next to the starter? It appears to me that I have a little oil dripping from the hose and its getting on my frame (left side) and on the fuel tank and even on the rear drum. its not much and I dont remember ever seeing that much. In the last 3 weeks I have been on a major road trip. In fact the temps have been from 80* to -7* so I dont know if this ok. I have plenty of oil. Could be normal for such a road trip. Any comments or suggestions?

Crank case vent, a little drip and smoke is normal if you are running at road speeds a lot.
