Hot Box

Starting to get a little cold up here in the great white north,block heater isn't cutting it any more. Thinking of installing a hot box. Are thier any TDR members out there that use one?,is it a diy intallation?. Lastly,has anyone else experienced premature cracking and spilting of the front anti-sway bar endlinks?. Dealer say's it is normal,truck only has 43k on it.

What's a hotbox?



On my truck, in addition to the block heater I have a magnetic heating pad on the bottom of the oil pan, and another on the transmission fluid pan.



On other vehicles I've also had battery warmers and even trickle chargers, but I can't ever see needing to put things like that on my truck.



After reading about removing the fan in another forum, I think I'm going to do that too.
