Sorry I didn't post this earlier, sonmething like a brain f**t got in the way.
On a dually or when you add marker lights to the tail gate, and overload the factory switch, you can take all the rear lights off the switch(7 markers and both tail lights) and operate them from the trailer light circuit that has a relay. (must have factory trl. package or you have to a add relay at rear. By clipping the rear light wire in the main harness at the left rear of truck, tape up the wire comming from the front, then run a jumper from the trailer harness tail light wire to the cut wire going to the truck rear lights. Don't know the color codes for all years but mine were both tan/black. Took care of my problem on three trucks starting in '94.
