I have my hot juice unlocked and it seams unusable. I called Edge because I see 1500degrees in just a few seconds. When I talked with Edge they said "no prob, for a single 1/4 mile pass thats no prob, just disable your safety measures and have at it. " I told him as fast as it hits 1500 it seams as though it would reach 1800 no prob before I hit a full 1/4 mile. He said "Yea, well we hit 1800 on our test truck on the dino with the hot juice. "



This sounds way wrong, I hear so many differing opinions on egts, what is safe and what is not, but what is the real deal. I have not tried to implement Edge's advice, but I still don't know what I should be looking for to get a happy medium of good performance and tolerable egts. from a dead stop wo it takes me to about 75mph before I reach 1350 in level 5. Does that sound normal with an Aurora 3000, magnaflo 5", and Banks intercooler?

My truck does the same thing. I was told by some other people that edge put a saftey of 200 degs on their box. We run the hot juice on our 06 d-max. we have the edge egt reading off a BD manifold and an autometer reading off the other manifold. there is a difference of 250 t0 300 degs.
 
So are you saying that when my egts read 1500, that maybe its really only 1200? That would make some sense. I guess I could just plumb another pyro on my Ats manifold and see real numbers. And do you run up to that kind of egt on your attitude box or will I be picking up pieces of valves out of my muffler if I try it?
 
To each their own I have seen 1700 deg running the dodge only to beet the d-max. and the d-max hits 1600 on hot. If you invest in a turbo you will be in good shape. Idustrial Injection has a sweet line of turbos. Or a water meth system.
