hot shot/car hauling

Hey anyone is there any money to be made doing hot shot loads or hauling cars? I live in south MS and everyone says no money to be made or too hard to get loads too hard to get on with anyone. Getting out of military and need another job but want to work for myself. Any help greatly appreciated thanks

I seriously thought of it but the cost is too high, pay isn't all that great and you really need to live on the road to make some serious money. I planned on doing it part-time which you really can't as your fixed costs remain the same. You need to keep the truck rolling and doing it with a family is near to impossible. JMO.

Pay being not all that great depends on how much you need to make. If $90-130,000 per is not enough, then this is not the job for you. I have a buddy of mine that knocked out $186,000 last year (gross that is). Im leaving for Macon GA in the morning with a heat exchanger for York in the back of my truck. I'll drop it off Monday morning, spend the night, and be back here on Wed. morning. Net after exspenses should be around $1,853. 00. If you need more money for 40 hrs. work, this is not your job. We haul for oil field rates, not Horizon RV rates.
