I dont know much about it, but I had a patient last night who did that work with horse trailers. It sounded like a way to make extra $$$ part time. I have no clue what it takes to get into that... or anything else. I googled it and found something on etrucker.com, but not much info really.

Would my truck be functional for that type of work? It has the factory upgraded tow package also

Your truck will be fine. You will need some commercial insurance a DOT and MC number unless you lease your truck on with a transport company. You'll need a reciever hitch, fifth wheel hitch, and a goose neck hitch. A good tool box to keep spare battery and tools in. A jack , lug wrench, small air compressor, and a battery pack would be a good idea. Some tire chains for winter. A log book, some bill of ladings, magnetic signs with the proper info on them. An auxillary fuel tank would come in handy to get around the high priced fuel areas. A large mud flap that goes across the entire rear of your truck to help keep the rocks and road debris of the trailers you are towing.

Thats about all I can think of right now, but I know there are a few items I am missing.
