The last couple of trips with the trailer have been with temperatures in the high 90s. Two observations were made.

The 2200 rpm drone I have had driving solo in cooler temperatures was gone. Either the the higher exhaust volume (higher boost) and/or the higher exhaust temperatures and exhaust pipe temperature eliminate the drone on my rig. Maybe the 800 degree post turbo temps have annealed the exhaust pipe.

My fuel sender started going out and I have changed it at 69,000 miles. I observed that operating at 95 degrees outside temp the fuel gauge would indicate less than empty. This was after operating for some time and the fuel return would have heated up the fuel and tank. The next morning, the cool fuel with a partial tank resulted in the fuel sender working correctly. Some time on the road to heat up the fuel and the fuel gauge would dive to empty again.
