You better not make your reservation yet. With Overnites new vacation policy going into effect it will eliminate any of us from going. Thats one of the "no vacation" weeks as it falls on the end of a business quarter. They have already denied my vacation for that week and I got alot more time than you,better check if I were you... ..... andy

To me it is still unclear as to where to go for camping, whether or not you can camp at IRP or if there is someplace local. The link on IRP's web site for camping doesn't work for me for some reason.

I have been told that you can camp right at the track but I would like more info as well. Is this in the parkinglot? Reservations? etc... .

Camping:

There will be camping on site, it will be reservations, I will have more information on when after February the 4th. Here is how it breaks down:

There are two showers in the men's facilities and two in the women's. Camping is $10/night and is dry only, but I encourage your to bring extension cords, because you never know if you can reach a plug somewhere. There is also trackside dry camping for $30/night. We are going to be touring the city Feb. 4th and the hotels once again. If you have any questions email me -- email address removed --

Non "party central" hotel with $75/ night for mentioning Diesel Thunder is Wingate Inn 317-279-2500. New hotel, very nice! 17 miles from IRP, cracker barrel and a bar and grill nearby with the Party hotels down the street.

AmeriHost Inn, Plainfield, wins the title!!



On virtually a dead end street, with an open field across from it, plenty of food, and adult beverage retailers nearby, (10% discount for AmeriHost customers)and an understanding manager, that drives a truck and likes dragracing, who said she will reserve the ENTIRE hotel for Diesel Dudes, until the end of the month, and then a $60 a night price tag, it was a no brainer.
