Houston area meeting (or lack of)

Guys, this is terrible!Does anybody not want to get together. I posted two days ago and not one response. Hope no one from another chapter noticed that. We must realize that everyone can not attend every meeting and to be fair they should be scattered out in various locations. Here's the deal: I am willing to drive 100 miles this weekend to get together with a fellow rammer and eat lunch(or breakfast) so we can talk and chew the fat. Any takers out there?

I would but I'm working the next two weekends. :frown: I did get a chance to ride in the Texas version of the "Red Rocket" last weekend. Very Cool. I do know the NHRA Nationals are this coming weekend too.

The best I can recall I am about 200 miles(3 Hours)from San Antonio and Austin. I live about 40 mile south of Houston.

Hey Cody, although I may be one of the few, I always prefered the body style of the 1st gen best. What college do you go to?
As Brian (SA Law) said, both you and Okie-go are welcome in San Antonio. We just had a pretty good get together here last weekend, not sure when the next will be, but I'm sure we can arrange something. Actually someone suggested going down to the coast camping which I think would be a great idea...

There is a nice place to camp in Edna. It is on Lake Texanna, about 20 miles North of Victoria. camp ground is 8 miles from hiway 59. Nice place Breckenridge

However, I've got to work solid with no extra days off to save my pennies for May Madness. Don't forget us, though.
I also hope to get freed up to catch one of you San Antone guy's meetings. That isn't too far for me but still a pretty good drive.

I would like to get together for a visit. I have been out of touch for a while due to family illness. Also, both kids are graduating in May: one from college and one from high school.

The Sunday morning meeting times are hard for me to make due to obligations at church. I would prefer Saturday morning. If the meeting place is close enough and the time early enough, I can make Sunday morning. I live just 4 miles from Alvin, so let me know something.

About the only way to get together is to call a meeting time and place and just see who shows. Good luck.

Here goe's what do yall say we meet at Cracker Barrell at League City for breakfast or either at the one on airtex(for or northern friends) on the 31st of may. I think that would be a good starting point. That will free up the church goers for Sunday and let everyone else get chores done on Sat. afternoon. Someone keep it going and I'll take the advice and see who shows. Although kind of expensive there is an RV. park next door to the Cracker Barrell in League City. Thanks

They can't nobody call me slow. I done skipped a whole month. I meant the 31st of March. Homebod,I know saturdays are tough but a lot of people go to church on Sunday,really don't make me any difference. I talked to Wayne on the phone(blue first gen. dually) and he will meet on either day. I ain't the boss but we could even alternate the days as well as the location. How bout you east texas folks. I am willing to drive to Beaumont next weekend if yall want to come over closer to Houston the next month. My skin is tough so let's hear some opinions. They're just like tennis shoes,everybody has one! Let's hear em.
