Dallas / Ft. Worth area meeting Aug. 9

LSTDR August meeting and Bar B Q

Houston Area Power Strokes.com (HAPS) would like to invite everyone to HAPS 2nd Annual Truck Show and Shine for all brands of trucks at Pickups Plus Truck Accessories on Fry Road. We had a lot of success last year with truck attendance, but as most of us know, the weather did not participate for a show and shine event.

Pickups Plus Truck Accessories is a National Franchise that handles most anything to do with Pick Up Trucks. Their show room and shop is immaculate. One of the nicest shops I have been in. They carry a large variety of truck add-ons. Including Suspension parts, Bed covers, Nerf bars, Spray in bedliners, Running boards, Tool boxes, Brush guards, Hitches, Performance add-ons, Lights, etc. Most of which they have on display in there show room and carry a number of brands of each.

HAPS will have our BBQ pit in use so come hungry. DO bring your own drinks and chairs.

Where: Pickups Plus

1718 Fry Road Suite 175

Houston, TX 77804

(This is 3 blocks North of I-10, behind the Dairy Queen)

Where were y'all?

Well, it was me, me4osu, duaneparks, & the guy with the purple/green Ram vs. all them Ferd guys! Lots to see (& laugh at!), such as the Ranger dolled up like Earnhardt Sr's car! Y'all missed a good time!

What was with the big motionless smoke fest?? One of the Ferd guys sat in one spot and revved the crap out of his engine. The smoke smelled more of propane than diesel.

A few lightning trucks showed up after Bill left. I kind of liked them, except for one that had a harwood scoop mounted all the way on the drivers side of the hood.

Fajitas were good though. Thanks BWebster.

Thanks to all you guys that came and put up with the weather.

HAPS is 2 of 2 on a rainy show and shine.

The Dale E. Ford Ranger with entertainment of the evening when he did his spectacular (CLUTCH) burnout. Got to admit though,

sure saved his tires. :)

We all got to see the $105,000 (Yes, $100K) Dodge.

I'll post a link to the Pictures when I get them posted.

I absolutely did not see the $86,000. 00 extra in that truck. :(

I did not look at the suspension, but all the engine had was a puck and some injectors. Stock airbox, turbo and stock AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.
