I'll go ahead and call for meeting #2. Lets meet at the Cracker Barrel on Sunday, April 16 at 8:00am. Take I45 south and exit at League City, the Cracker Barrel is just past FM517 west side of I45. I'll be there as early as 7:00 if anyone is interested in meeting early.

What's the topic?

Sounds great to me. Hopefully the intestinal gods will shine on me this time. My schedule changes so often hopefully all will work out.

Another idea to trot out is the weekly rod gathering in League City. The area hot rodders gather at the park in the middle of league city every friday night from 6:00 to around 10:00pm. All sorts of cars from mild to wild, it is also very family oriented. I bring the wife and kids from time to time. I try to bring out my 87 Buick Grand National when i can. If any TDR or Rammers in general want to we could possibly gather up and tell lies. They won't let us park our trucks in the rod area but there is an area at the end of the parking lot we could congregate at. This is the main entrance and everyone would be sure to see the all the big bad Dodges. There is normally about 40 to 80 cars and lots of folks when the weather is right.

We could also do this on the north side as well. The rodders up there go to a place on Kurkendall (sp). They gather on Saturday nights and also have lots of folks turn out. The times i have been there is ample parking for all. Just an idea we could kick around.

The 30th sounds good to me! How about we start it at 7am like the last one? Is that a problem for anyone? By the way, for those that weren't there, the last of us left last time at about 11:30am!!!

If you guys plan on being at the restraunt for awhile, I might drive down from Dallas. I havn't been able to make the last few meeting here because of classes, so I'm having withdrawl. If I come down, it would be around 8:30 or 9:00. Maybe I'll see you there.

Would love to make the Rod gathering on May 5th. We'll be staying just outside of Willis for a week (4-10 May) enroute to May Madness. We're full time RV'rs, so the route to anywhere is never a straight line. If y'all decide to do it on the 5th (or have the monthly meeeting on the 7th) please drop me an email with directions.

The Friday night rod run would be tough to make but the Saturday night one would be cool. Lone Star Rammers works for me (y'all didn't like PHI RAMMA JAMMA, huh? Go Coogs!). Either the last weekend this month or the first weekend of May is OK by me- thanks for the slack.

If anyone is going to be in the Clear Lake/Bay Area this friday night swing by the local Hot Rod gathering. It is located on FM-518 East in downtown League City. From 45 south or north, exit FM-518. Go east about 2 miles across the RR tracks and it is on the left, can't miss it. I will be there with my black Buick Grand National. Stop and say hi. It gets started about 6:00 and knocks off sometime after dark.

Also 243 wrote that the Cracker Barrel was at exit FM-517 in the original post on this thread. It should be FM-518. Hope this helps.

You guy's have to go by the Hot Rod gathering in League City when you get a chance. There were some really slick hot rods tonight. Some of my favorites were an early sixties vette with an all aluminum bbc, a nice charger and a late sixtes Impala with a bbc. There were trucks, t-buckets, 5. 0's; and of course, Shrimpy was there with his super clean 40K mile GN. First one I've ever ridden in and that sucker made me pucker #ad


I asked Shrimpy to take me for a real ride in that sinister black beauty when he's his daughters are not along for the ride. #ad


I think I need another Turbo'd 6 #ad
