Here I am

How about a "Repair Procedure" or "How To" Forum?

TDR issue 73

Some down time on monday (10/3/2011) during the day

Could we do a forum with How To repair procedures? I've written a couple and I know other people have. Basically, we could submit a "repair" process with photos and step by step directions, and once approved it could be made a sticky in that forum.

There would be no other posts allowed. I am a member of a similar website dealing with emergency warning equipment and we have a similar forum. It has to be submitted and approved by moderators before being made a sticky on there.

even though I love that idea... ... isn't that what 90% of the TDR forum is all about. when looking at the forum list, if you don't include "politics" and "other" all that is left is "how to" info.

Not exactly...

I will have to disagree. This would be almost like having an online service & repair manual for the truck but with more detailed step by step directions. For example. I've written in the past few days a "how to" on replacing a hydro boost on a 99. I've also done a "how to" on removing old and installing new sport headlight conversions on the same truck.

I would say 90% or most of the discussion on this forum troubleshooting problems people have encountered and opinions on certain upgrades like bigger injectors, different turbos etc. questions, and others opinions on those questions. For example... You can't write a "how to fix steering problems on 4wd trucks" "Or how to add power to your truck". There's way too much discussion out there for that.

Simple stuff... Like a brake job... Or replacing injectors... Changing an injection or lift pump... (sport headlights and hydroboost replacment too!!) would be included.

Thanks
