I just want to know if they have got most of the bugs worked out of the regen and cel lights and updates.

The dealer assures me that dodge has finally got the kinks out, but they wil tell you anything to make a sell, so I thought id ask the good people on here.

2008 6.7

No problems of any kind so far. I took delivery in late March. only 3K miles so far. Very happy with truck.

08 2500 Regular Cab, SLT, 6. 7, 68RFE

My 08 I ordered came in april, has been at the dealer last two weeks. They can't figure out what's wrong with it. It has a hesitation when coming on to the throttle, no codes and it doesn't do it long enough for them to see anything with their computer. It did it when I first drove it @20 miles and I thought it was just me getting back in rhythm with a manual transmission, so at 200 miles I took it in. been there since:{.

When they figure yours out, let us know, because mine is doing the same thing. I also have the manual and notice the hesitation as well. Sometimes worse than other times.

bought my 08 in Sept and its just shy of 20,000 trouble free miles I still haven't found a hill or a load that will slow it down . so far so good :) good luck with your's

Had mine since January, has 12k on it. Only had DPF warnings twice, because of idling during -20 to -35 temps to warm the truck before taking off to work in the A. M. Easy to clear though, a quick run to the neighboring town and it was regenerated.

Very happy with Pulling Power and Truck in general.

Well, my 08 is about 2 weeks old now with just under 2000kms on it and overall I really like this truck. However, what I don't like is that I am having the re-occurring MIL (check engine light caused by the P2000 code problem which is theorized to be O2 sensor triggered and once in a while I am having this annoying problem where the exhaust brake functions intermittently and will come in too hard when engaged in RPMs above 1600rpm and from 1600-1400rpm it seems to disappear and then comes on hard again below 1400rpm. After a bit of driving, especially harder driving it goes right back to normal where it is smooth, firm, and linear braking throughout the RPM band. I am waiting for the problem to either resolve itself further along in the engine break in time line, or aggravate and become more consistent before taking it in for warranty as when I tried to take it in, it ran fine for the DC tech:rolleyes:

My 07. 5 has over 70,000 km on it and running grater since the G30 flash with no problems. I love to drive it and it pulls grate to. No engine mods as of yet.

Just over the 3K mark with mine. I Took delivery in March. I had one problem with the A/C compressor harness connector, but the dealer took care of that quick enough. I run the freeway at speed enough that I haven't seen any regen messages.

Today I took a Gilligan down to San Diego on I-15, mostly 70 both ways roughly six hours driving time total. The display claimed 19. 2 mpg but I'll know tomorrow when I fill up and do the hand calc.

I usually run in the Tow/Haul mode and kick it down to fourth for surface streets. With the engine brake on almost full time. This has lead to a discovery, Tailgaters are unfamiliar with the decelarative charateristicts of engine/exhaust brakes. With my 04' 3500Dually I had three separate people try to pass me underneath. They all became intimately familiar with my reciever hitch which is usually a combo Ball/Pintle. With the same hitch on the 4X4 2500 it will catch them higher up the hood I suppose. I guess the tailgaters will learn to adjust. I don't take any satisfaction in watching them swerve when the E/B kicks in, but I don't feel sorry for them either.

I'm new to TDR and would like to say that everyone has been extremely helpful... ... So hopefully this will help you a little... . I bought my 08' in the beginning of May and even though it's my first diesel, I'm crazy about this truck! The power is amazing compared to my old 04' 2500 Hemi! The gas mileage is alot better, was getting around 10 Mpg(combination City & Highway) in the Hemi, now I'm getting 16. 5 Mpg(combination City & Highway). Even though I'm paying $4. 59/Gallon for diesel compared to $3. 75 for gas, I'm still to the better. I currently have just under a 1000 miles so far.

Still trying to get over the fact that I finally took the plunge and bought this Diesel..... I must be crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't walk away, had to have it.

took mine in for the same thing, the shop said that it was normal... . ?

Big white, I think its a computer programmer thing to be honest. We'll see what happens, at least the Cummins has a 5 year warranty on it so I have a lot of time on my side.

No trouble whatsoever with almost a year and 10K miles of big city - stop and go driving (grocery getting). I have 2 times pulled my 10K trailer for maybe 300 miles. Put the right fuel in - keep the mods OFFFFF, and you'll be just fine.

LOVE THIS TRUCK!Oo.
