What?

As long as you are with in the axle ratings for steering and drive as well as well as your trailer/5ver axles, you can, and don't let anyone tell you other wise. A 2500 can pull that IF you stay within the ratings. Drive carefull and weigh it when leaving your area, if you have to empty tanks as needed, do so but I doubt you will have to. My 34' Arctic Fox can be pulled by a 2500 (weighed as proof) with empty tanks.

Just looked at Artic Fox the 5ver 32' has a dry pin of 2000# and the36'has pin of 2740# so your telling me that on the 32' your throwing at least 500# to the front axle and on the 36' 1240# just looking at the figure's and wear the fifth wheel is mounted in the truck bed. And that's not including all the other el toro poo poo that is going to be in the trailer to use. Im not sure how these things are figured but that's a bunch of weight considering it's only a 2500 3/4 ton( 1500lbs) Im not saying it's not done I see a bunch of folks do allot more weight than that. And when they are turned upside down Im sure they have a very good excuse they tell the CHP that they forget the overload and turn their head to MANSLAUGHTER:rolleyes: IT HAPPENS EVERY WEEKEND JMO

I have a certified Cat Scale reciept for proof and that was with a full (topped off tank of fuel) fuel. The trailer tanks were empty but there was room for a fresh water for towing only purpous, and that would be going from the pin weight to the trailer axles with a front fresh water tank and the grey in the middle. I was curious to see if I could, due to the better 5. 9 fuel economy with my 2500 in sig. I will post it later, when I'm not working 12 hrs a day.

I'm curious about that also.

A Ram 2500 has a GAWR of about 6500 lbs. What is the gross weight and gross rear axle weight of the truck with passenger, fuel, etc. before dropping the kingpin on the hitch?

I will post all of the info I used, including a pic of the door label showing Axle ratings. BTW, it towed the 5ver to AZ. , without any problems including some wind encountered on HWY 62 through the desert. If I had not sold the truck to my brother I would still tow the AF with it. Also, the only Dodge numbers that count are the axle ratings, unless you are under warranty. :)

My door pics are lost in my crashed hardrive, but the payload and towing chart shows same 6K rear and 5. 2K front (its the last line) on the page. I was hoping to get them from a sent e-mail, I sent my brother for his purchase needs. The pin weight is @ 2300 lbs. for a total of 5K rear and just a few extra pounds on the front as you can do the math. That means there is 1K pounds for pasengers and gear, remember the Fuel tank is full including the LPG tanks in the front of the 5ver. It is even under the GCAWR from dodge at 18. 5K

I have a 32. 5' Avion Platinum with two slides, my truck is a 98 12v 4x4 long bed quad cab. Scale weight is 20,500 to 21,000 lbs. It is loaded for wintering in So Cal. So a 35' Westport that is basically the same rig will weigh at least 2,000 lbs more. My truck handles my combo very well but if I were to step up to a 35' I would get a dually!
