Power wire in trailer plug?

How can I eliminate or at least lessen the forward and back Rocking motion in the truck while towing my 8,000 +lb tow trailer? If I increase the spring arm tension on the distribution hitch, will that help? other than that it's not too bad to pull. FYI, I'm already tongue heavy (1200 lbs). Thanks.

What are your equlizer bars rated at? I suspect that your weight distribution on the truck is probably leaning on the rear axle. Increasing the bar tension will probably help provided your bars are rated at 1200 pounds.

One thing that made a difference in my 98 was changing the stock shocks to Bilstiens.

then after 60K miles on the bilstiens, I sold my 98 and got a 2002, I was amazed that the bilsteins with 60K miles on them felt better then the new "factory" shocks on the 2002. When I get a couple extra dollars, that will be the first thing I put on the 2002.

I would try to redistribute the load to take some weight off the hitch. If it's a class IV like mine, it's only rated to carry 1000 lbs with WD bars. You also have to make sure the truck and trailer sit level after the bars are hooked up.
