I had my rear axle replaced and they put in a remaned unit. I know i did not have a LSD before the replacement but I think this re-maned one may have one. is there any way i can tell by a part number on it or a tire spin with the wheels off the ground???
Get both sides of the axle off of the ground then spin one side by hand and if the other side spins in the same direction then you have ls. If it spins the opposite direction then you have a open diff.
Depending on who did the rebuild, the data plate on the rearend may not be correct. The easiest way would be to get the rear end up on jack stands and spin one side to see which way the other tire turns.
