how can I tell if my truck has a chip

I just bought a ,03 3500 4x4. This truck is fully loaded, has a hauler bed, pacbrake, boost gauge, pyro, nv5600. The guy I bought it from told me he had a chip put on it, but didn't know what type, just said it was the most expensive one they had. I think he is full of it. Where do I look to see if one is plugged in. He said it was a chip not a programmer.

Is anything velcro'd to the top of the fuse box cover in the eng compartment? This is where some fuleing boxes are mounted.

there is some velco on the fuse box where something was attached. There is also a wire that runs from the battery to a small box bolted on the inner fender by the battery, then a wire from that box to somewhere behind the fuel filter canister. Could that be something?
