O.k O.k I Give ..... Signature question.

This has been going on for a week, I can only get per session cookies. I deleted all cookies set by this forum, then re-entered my name and pass, to no avail. I deleted all stored cookies, re entered everything manually, still could only get my cookies to work for each browser session. Even checked my custom security settings thru IE tools. All the cookies are enabled. Go figure. I hate IE 5. 0 and 5. 5 is even worse.
All you Linux developers out there, "come on gecko!"

Works, good for me.
If you want to go anti Microsoft and you don't like Netscape, try Opera.
Here are some reviews.
Here is Opera's site. They claim it is the fastest browser on Earth. I'm checking on that. #ad

So far it looks pretty neat. #ad
The ad has not changed at all. It has an email client. It has a simple button to toggle between showing images or not. That can be very useful for the pages here with many, large pictures on them. Cookies worked instantly for this second reply. It has the ability to tile browser windows inside of the parent window giving the effect of Multiple document interface. Bookmarks seem to be very similar to IE's fashion. There is an option to refresh the current pages every so often without the big scheduling process of IE. Pretty neat so far. I only got the non Java version. May get the big one later. 2 megs versus 9. I'm sure I'll need Java but I didn't need it for the test drive.

Even does the IE trick of when you hold control and press enter, the www.and the .com are automatically added to what you typed in the address bar. #ad

I like that. #ad

Joe, I don't think losing your cookies every time is IE's fault. It used to work just fine for me on IE but started losing them just a few weeks ago. Think it's the TDR server.

Bryan, tried to e-mail you today, letter came back as undeliverable. What's up?

Bill you've got mail, whatever you sent, I got at least one of.
I wonder, are you guys with cookie trouble all running IE 5. 5? Could it be that cookies worked until you upgraded to 5. 5?
I had 5. 5 only momentarily. I hated it and went back to 5. 0 and i think it is great. Still testing Opera though. #ad

My cookies work again!
I'm currently using IE 5. 0 with the 128 bit encryption patch... tried IE 5. 5 for about a week... just plain worthless! so I'm back with 5. 0... might try Opera, what made leary was that the download area specified, if you odwnload the free one, you have to look at their ads.

Joe, there is deffinately a problem and I don't think its with anyones computer. I'm still having problems and have not changed any settings in my computer in months. Sometimes this site remembers who I am and my settings then like now I must re-do the name and password and set the viewed back from ten days to two. This is something that has just started in the last week or so... ... . Pete

Bill,
Just a dumb question, did you set your preferences in Netscape? Netscape and IE don't store their cookies and web pages in the same place, so Netscape won't read the preferences you set in IE. <hr>
I'm sure glad that cookie monster doesn't stop in Pennsylvania, my cookies work great in three different browsers. #ad

Bryan, preferences are set with NS also. Something else is going on I don't lose my Default Topic View number of days ever, just the user name and password memory. It's more like I checked NO to the remember for one year box.
