How could i do this?

Im probably just getting myself in trouble here... But how hard would it be to get a shifter for my automatic on the floor... Id like to have it so i could powershift my trans. from 1-2 then drive. Anyone have any knowledge on this?

Nick: Upgrade your 48RE with some aftermarket goodies (valvebody, update kit, billet goodies, torque converter, etc... ) and let the transmission do the shifting. No need to upgrade the 'seat cover'... . :-laf



I know you haven't driven a modified auto transmission yet... . once you do... you'll see that all you have to do is put it in "D" and hit the 'giddy up pedal'.

What made you decide to go with the 93% converter? I thought that originally too (tighter is better, right? more like a manual!), but after I talked with the guys at J&H I changed my mind. Having the converter so tight doesn't always translate into "faster/better". I drove a truck with the 89% and it was TIGHT compared to the stock POS and allows a little slip to spool the turbo at takeoff... I was told they don't even advertise the 93% because the 91% is about as tight as they like to go for most people. That said, if you got the BOMBs to push it, the 93% should provide some rubber-burnin fun... can't go wrong with DTT no matter which TC you get!

Well ive heard that to. But i sent numerous amounts of pm's back and forth with Stefan Kondolay, and i told him what i will be doing with this truck. Drag racing, Driving like an idiot, and beating ricers and gm's every day and every night. ... He sent me what he beleives i should get... I actually copied and pasted the parts on my post so thats right from him

That's cool... wish I was closer so I could drive your truck with the 93% in it and compare for myself. I'm sure you'll be compared to stock anyways!
