Houston Breakfast Pic

Northeast event

Hey,

Just wonderin' how the breakfast went in Houston. I'm over in central Louisiana, but I bought my truck up in Madisonville when I was at Grad. School in Huntsville. Wouldn't mind drivin' over for a TDR meetin' sometime. Ya'll are about the closest group I see. Hope ya wouldn't mind me taggin' along.

I missed it to. Had a severe case of intestinal (sp) bug. The amount of liquid contained in the human body never ceases to amaze me!!!!! And it was non-alcohol induced ???? Anyway i hope to make the next one.

Breakfast went well. Ten of us showed. Took pictures, of trucks of course. I e-mailed a list to Homebod, and he will probably post something about the get-to-gether.
Hope somdthing comes of it. I would like to see a club or something formed.

Sorry some of you missed the gathering.
Glad Big John had a good time. It was very interesting for me to see the range of trucks we had grouped together, First Generation up to 2000 models.

After our group picture (of the TRUCKS of course, we're all too ugly for pictures!) standing around, shooting the breeze, we had a little drive by of jealousy by one of them there f&#d things trying to make some noise, but I didn't here much (must need a hearing aid)!

Had a great time and hope to get together again soon! We need to have a suggestion for a location of the next meeting and a date. Hope everybody liked it on Sunday. I, for one, work 6 days a week so it's my only free day. I don't mind an evening meeting also.

Also need any suggestions for a group name.

cuminspwr, your always welcome to join us.
we want anybody to join us that wants to no matter where you live, its not limited to just Houston or Texas!

I'll forward the meeting list to all from the first meeting. Thanks John for putting that together.

It was a great first meeting!

After breakfast, we fired ‘em all up at once... basking in the beautiful and thunderous harmony of a Cummins quintet #ad

The SuperDookie owner must have heard the music and thought the sky was parting to unleash a hellstorm. Moments after the concert began, he whizzed... "cough cough" excuse me, I had to clear my throat... wheezed by and offered a sheepish wave goodbye; obviously embarrassed #ad
and fooled #ad
by the God of Cummins.

Hmmm…a chapter name

Lone Star TDR
Southeast Texas TDR
South Central TDR
Gulf Coast TDR …that’ll oughta make cuminpwr feel right at home. Of course your welcome #ad

Be sure to read the posts and check out GLTDR’s website for ideas, possible activities and a direction for the new chapter. We have a good start and an enthusiastic crowd. I was talking to TXRam about a barbecue at my place; however, he offered a better idea, it is possible to rent his companies picnic area and park at a reasonable price. Now don’t starting licking your chops yet, #ad
we only tossed the idea back and forth and thought that fall offered the best weather in this part of the country.

Any html experts that want to give a website a shot? I have photos of last Sunday’s gathering scanned and ready for viewing. Fire me and email if you can help get the pic’s posted.

Since the south outnumbered the north, east and west combined, maybe we meet down south next month. If ya’ll don’t mind the Cracker Barrel again, there is one at 45S in League City.

Now don't get to worried about Bill, unless he really strengthens the membership from Wharton, we won’t have to worry about meeting that far south for a while #ad

Homebod, why don’t ya send be the list and I will keep a compilation of attendee’s for next months meeting.

Later, 243

Had a ball, y'all! The South shall rise again! Sunday mornings work best for me- if it's within range of a 35 gal. tank it's OK by me. I'm working on some of the other Cummins owners around here to join up. Just keep me posted on when & where- I'll be there!

Glad the meeting was a success, thanks for the invite. I'll try to make the next one too. Just let me know when and where.

Hey guys,
You might consider a noon time meeting in Waco sometime. Some of the guys up here in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area would make the drive down for a large meeting. Let me know what you think.

I like the idea of getting together with the DFW gang. I have an alternative to Waco to throw on the table; how about Madisonville? I have kept in touch with Tim Grace (Fleet Sales Mgr) who sold me both of my trucks. Maybe Henson Motor Company would be interested in getting involved and possibly gaining some exposure. If there are enough Henson customers, I will give Tim a call. If you purchased through Henson, email me with your name, vehicle and when you purchased it. mailto:cummins_isb@hotmail.com

Anyone up in DFW running a VA Box that would be willing to share it when we meet?

243,
Where's Madisonville? I just suggested Waco as a central location. There is a restraunt near the convention center called Buzzard Billy's that would make a great meeting place. It has a large parking lot across the street that would work good. It dosen't matter to me where we meet. E-mail me and I'll give you my phone number at work (toll free) if you want to discuss it further and I'll relay info to the members up here.

Madisonville would be good, bought mine at Henson's also. Larry was my salesman, bought it back in Feb. of 99. Details about truck listed below.

If it's a noon-time meeting 1/2way between Houston & Dallas let's make it a weekend when Busch or Winston Cup isn't running!

Jeff-

Madisonville is about 1hr 45min north of downtown Houston. I'm not looking at a map but I believe it is about half the distance to DFW. Waco is fine too.
